Mr. Galloway LOVES to perform for intimate audiences–from 10 to 100 people–all over the US. It is called a “Concert in the Home” or “House Concert” (NOT a House Party), and is a re-emerging trend that is quietly sweeping the nation. In short, you invite your friends to come join you and Mr. Galloway in your home for a very special, once-in-a-lifetime performance. Provide simple refreshments, if you wish, or perhaps arrange it as a pot luck dinner. Guests are invited to make a donation at the door (not required) of $10 – $20, which will go to compensate Mr. Galloway (there is no charge to the host). He will do a 45 minute show, a 30 minute autograph signing intermission, and a final 45 minute show for your guests.
CDs and merchandise are available during the autograph session, and guests are encouraged to engage him in conversations about the songs, his experiences, and the musical equipment he uses. “Not to mention, how to apply hair dye just right,” he jokes.
Does it sound a little scary? Adventurous? Good, because that’s part of the fun. But it is not as difficult as you might think. Mr. Galloway has done this for a number of years, and has never had a house concert turn out anything but fun and worthwhile for all concerned.
